Description
Our military heroes and martyr priests. In memory of the siege of Budapest.
After many, many years of research, a well-known comrade and friend of many of us (Kalóz) collected the details and events of the Outbreak in 1945 within the framework of a book.
Briefly about the book:
– Our priests who died martyred in the siege of our capital will be presented.
– In chronological order, the heroic, self-sacrificing fights of our Hungarian soldiers in the defense of our capital.
– Curriculum vitae of our 20 Hungarian officers who took part in the fighting in Budapest. In this chapter, completely mixed life paths are presented that are thought-provoking.
– Commanders of the Hungarian Defense Forces during the eruption.
– 15 recollections of the siege of Budapest (not yet published, own collection)
– Bringing the Day of Honor to life. Here the reader can find out first-hand about its creation, clarifying the many misinformations and stigmas.
– Eruption memorial tour established. Here, too, the reader gets a first-hand, authentic source of insight into the causes that brought to life this commemoration combined with a memorial tour.
– In the chapter Battlefield Research, the reader can get acquainted with several interesting topics, all of which present an interesting slice of the siege of our capital. For a taste: a description of bunkers, following in the footsteps of many legends. Report on finding and exhuming soldiers. Presentation of four artifacts that came from the Buda Hills.
– Five interesting things about the siege of our capital. They are all described separately.
– The known military graves and memorial crosses in the Buda Hills.
– All on 232 pages with nearly 200 photos.
