Description
Heysel was a Swedish RAC band formed in Katrineholm in 1990. The singer later moved to Stockholm, where he teamed up with new musicians and continued to play under the same name. Their debut CD was released in 1996 under the auspices of Swedish Nordland Records. Musically, they represented the angry and fast hardcore punk style that enjoyed great popularity during this period, with some considering the band the “European Blue Eyed Devils”. Their lyrics are sung in Swedish and English, and a Skrewdriver cover has also been included on the material in addition to their own compositions. In 2021, this intense debut material finally is available again on CD.
